Wetherall, a qualified social worker, lives in Northern Ireland
and is currently working with children and families. |
| He
graduated from Brunel University in 1995
in Social Sciences then progressed onto working for the disability charity
Mencap. It was here that he discovered Makaton. He was so impressed by
the system that he studied to become a regional tutor, and now teaches
it freelance .............. |
| Grant
was instrumental in uncovering the Buckinhamshire Scandal when he went
undercover in the Longcare Homes in 1994. He continued his involvement
for three years working with a number of the abuse survivors and giving
lectures at local authorities and universities. |

| Born
in Glasgow, but having lived in London for over 20 years, Robert
Hill is qualified in Community Education (Diploma in Community
Education – Jordanhill College of Education, Glasgow) and has
several years of practice experience in Youth & Community Work, Community
Education and Community Development and was an experienced trainer
of Youth Workers |
| Robert
has over 15 years experience in learning disability services including;
Director of a Training & Employment Organisation; Development and
management of 'Social Firms' employing adults with Learning Disabilities:
Quality Assurance and IT Manager: Founding Director of a Supported Employment
organisation: Service Development Officer with both the voluntary sector
and a local authority; Deputy Day Centre Manager: Board/Committee member/
Director on a number of voluntary sector Learning Disability Organisations:
Deputy Head of Joint LD team: Head of Community Care. |
| He has
also carried out consultancy work in relation to the development of social
firms, and have provided advice and support to a number of 'emerging
social firms' and has a wide range of experience of developing, managing
and monitoring contracts and service level agreements. |
| When
Robert was the Director of Supercare / Green & Clean, they won the
Learning Disabilities category of the prestigious Communty Care Awards
2002, and again in 2002, Robert attended a Royal Garden Party
at Buckingham Palace after being nominated by the Government Office for
London for his work with learning disabilities and social firm development. |
| Robert
is currently working as a social care consultant. |
